The Tech Investment Show

As with most things, progression & consistency brings growth. And at each stage, a new version of yourself or your enterprise has to be forged to adapt to the ever-changing landscape. Be it through evolving the mindset, vision, resources, network, or any other variable that influences the journey. That is why after many months of development, it is evident that to catapult DefiSports to the next level, changes need to take place to carry out the mission statement. Namely, networking, external funding, marketing, etc.

Meanwhile, in Thailand, a rather famous 4-day event by the name of the Tech Investment Show was going to take place from the 16th of February to the 19th of February at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre I HALL 7. The event’s focus was, as inferred by the name, on tech startups in the following categories: E-commerce & logistics, Adtech & Martech, Food & Agtech, HealthTech, TravelTech, EdTech, Financial Services, Education, DApps, Infrastructure, Mining, Dao, Defi, Gaming, NFTs, Metaverse, IoT, L2, Community, Cross-chain, Wallets, and security. However, due to the high number of applicants and the nature of the event, the organisers had to screen the applicants. The result of which was that DefiSports qualified to go through to the next round and present on stage as it was one of the top ten startups lined up.

The slot allocated to DefiSports was on the 19th of February 2023, the last day of the event. From 1:35 pm to 3:05 pm. With a panel of judges and venture capitalists who specialise in varying skills and fields. Our workaholic COO Moustapha Masry took to the stage to showcase what DefiSports was truly about and what we hope to achieve. In his own words, Moustapha has expressed, “There’s so much we can do to shape the sports industry but it’s best to take one step at a time to transition”. Overall, it was a pretty successful event as DefiSports was one of the top 10 businesses to be selected to pitch.

All in all, to summarise the event, it was a great platform for all speakers to come forward and share their ideas for the future and get to know the bright minds of the industry.
